Parent-Tot Program

The Parent-Tot program is a teacher facilitated playgroup for toddlers (ages 2-3) and their parents.  Children must be two years old to be eligible to participate.  This program is a wonderful way to introduce young children to a group play environment, and a great way for parents of toddlers to connect with each other.  It is also an excellent introduction to the school setting for children who will begin preschool on their own in the fall.  Children who turn 2.9 during Parent-Tot have the option of remaining in the Parent-Tot class for the full year or rolling into a 2.9 classroom on a space available basis.  

 
 

Each Parent-Tot group meets once each week for 1.5 hours, and includes a free play time with optional art activity, music, snack, stories and creative movement.  Children explore painting, block building, sand, water, and a variety of table activities.  During good weather the class often plays in our spacious, age appropriate, outdoor play area.

Families that enroll in the Fall Parent-Tot classes have first priority in enrolling for the second Parent-Tot session of 15 weeks that completes the school year.  New Families that are enrolled in our Parent-Tot Fall session are also eligible to enroll early with in-house and alumni families for 3 and 4-year-old programs for the following school year.
